Police Officers Introduce Pupils to Man's Best Friend

On Friday morning, as part of an assembly on the dangers of illegal drugs, the police force were invited by the school to introduce pupils to a sniffer dog. Lining up in the playground, Primary 6 and 7 were very excited to meet a four-year-old German Shepard who has been working with the police for a few years.

The police officers present were representatives from the The Community Police and The Drug Squad, and the officer responsible for the sniffer dog explained how dogs are used to keep the public, and the police safe. With some trepidation, pupils posed questions to the officers, before finally watching the canine officer in action.

Thank you to the City of Glasgow Police for showing the local force in operation!
