Xavier and Ogilvie Win Interhouse Tournaments

Over the weekend, the junior girls’ interhouse hockey took place at Glasgow Green. The girls showed off their skills, in a tough contest between all houses.

In the P7 competition, Xavier House, led by Darcy McNeill staved off the competition to win the tournament. Gonzaga house placed second, while Ogilvie and Loyola came third and fourth respectively. Particular congratulations go to Lucie Brown, who was awarded player of the morning.

The P6 competition was also closely contested, but it was Loyola, captained by Emma Vella who took the top prize. Ogilvie came a close second, Gonzaga third, and Xavier fourth. The P6 player of the morning was given to Niamh Quinn.

Miss Walker said ‘we had a great time at Interhouse hockey on Saturday morning with silky skills and exciting end to end hockey on display at Glasgow Green.  All of the girls put on an excellent display of their skills, team work and determination.  Particularly well done to our P5 girls who played in the P6 teams.’

Well done to the teams for a fantastic display of sportsmanship in this well contested interhouse tournament.
