“Each child is known and loved as an individual and valued for the person he or she has grown to be…”
Our aspiration that all children should come to school and grow within a loving and caring community environment is key to the ideal of educating the whole person. Inspired by the 16th century Jesuit concept of ‘cura personalis’ - care of the individual person - we want each child in the Green Blazer to be happy, holy and hardworking throughout their education.
Teaching staff work closely with Heads and Assistant Heads of Section to meet the needs of each and every child, equipping them with, not only the academic ability to flourish, but also the social and emotional support to aid their development. Each child is known and loved as an individual and valued for the person he or she has grown to be.
This pastoral care programme ensures that children are supported by, and feel comfortable with, staff who listen with care and with whom they can share their joys, cares and concerns.
In partnership with parents we help children with personal growth and interpersonal relationships, building a trusting, caring community for our boys and girls in the Junior School.
Through classwork and play, we teach the children that the way in which they use their freedom affects others and we encourage them to confront their sins and their impact on others. We place people at the heart of all that we do to ensure that we have a community of diversity, individual care and mutual respect for all.
