Celebrating Success- 14th November
Glasgow Rotary Annual Public Speakers
Heat 1 of Rotary, at Craigholme School
Congratulations to Humzah Razzaq S3, who won through to yet another final. In a hall with some acoustic issues, Lucy Docherty S4 also performed brilliantly, easily coming in the top 7 of 16 speakers.
In the 36th year of the competition, this was an exceptionally strong heat and the three judges felt they had to send through 5 instead of the usual 4 entrants.
Although Lucy did not make it the final on this occasion, she simply could not have given a better performance. She and Humzah did us proud, and judges were full of praise for the delivery and content of both speeches by the St Aloysius' students.
Heat 2 of Rotary, at Jordanhill
Eva Pryce S3 won through to yet another final with her flawless and very entertaining performance.
Heat 3 of Rotary, at High School of Glasgow
Lucas McMenemy becomes the third St Aloysius pupil to win through to the final. He was simply awesome!
Martin Lavery Memorial Public Speaking
Congratulations also go to Lucas McMenemy, who spoke brilliantly last week at Kings Park High.
He now proceeds to the final of the Martin Lavery Memorial public speaking competition in March.
