Make a Difference
Humzah Fundraises for Charity
Over the weekend, Humzah Razzaq (S2) attended the ‘Connecting Communities: Visit My Mosque Day’ at Cumbernauld Mosque. The aim of the event was to celebrate how Scottish and Islamic cultures work, live and learn together. The event was well attended by the local community, as well as several OAs, and current pupils and parents.
At the event, Humzah and a few other members of the local community presented a cheque to charity for £1000, a total which was raised in the past few months by the group. The fundraising efforts started in early December 2016, at Humzah’s local mosque, where he and his friends organised a bake sale to raise money for the mosque’s neighbours.
Well done to Humzah for embodying the ‘Make a Difference’ values of the college!
