Brave selection for hockey girls

Brave selection for hockey girls

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news that four of our talented pupils have been selected for Brave, the Scottish Hockey High-Performance Pathway program.

They will join S5 Ava G, who has already been selected for Scotland Under 18's in developing their Hockey. This incredible opportunity is all about nurturing Scotland’s most promising young hockey players, and we couldn’t be prouder of our students.

S3’s Kate M, Claudia C, Sophie H, and Olive M selection shows the pupils skill, hard work, and dedication to the sport. Being part of Brave means they’ll benefit from additional, top-level coaching and the chance to take their hockey to new heights. It’s an amazing step for any young athlete dreaming of representing Scotland.

Euan Miller, our Director of Hockey, shared his excitement about this achievement:

"We are absolutely delighted for these young athletes. Being chosen for Brave is a huge milestone and reflects their talent, hard work, and love for hockey. It’s also a proud moment for everyone here at St Aloysius. These pupils are brilliant role models for our community, and I know they’ll embrace this chance to grow and thrive. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way!"

Hockey is such an important part of life at St Aloysius College, and we’re committed to helping every player grow — whether they’re picking up a stick for the first time or chasing their dreams of playing on an international stage.

To our fantastic hockey players: congratulations! This is such a well-deserved achievement, and we can’t wait to see all you accomplish. Great things really do start in the Green Blazer
