Pupils Hit the Big Stage

Pupils Hit the Big Stage

Our music and drama departments are never short of excitement. They are full to the brim of passionate students who love to share their talent with us. Recently, some of these pupils have seen great success outwith the classroom with exciting roles on the big stage.

Augustus S. (S1) took to the stage at the King's Theatre starring in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the well-loved musical. Augustus is no stranger to the show, after he took the lead role in our very own College rendition last summer. The show was a roaring success, with lots of standing ovations throughout the run!

Claudia Y. (S3) starred in the lead role of Monkey in the 2022/23 Christmas pantomime at the Pavilion Theatre. Claudia featured in The Magical Adventures of Aladdin, sharing the stage with famous faces including Grado and Stephen Purdon. Claudia invited Miss Singh, Head of Drama, and some of her classmates to watch the performance and Miss Singh and the girls raved that “it was a very entertaining afternoon and it was brilliant to see Claudia on the stage. We are immensely proud of her!”.

We love to see our young people continuing their dedication to the arts outside of school and we can’t wait to see them perform again soon.

Gabriella V. (S2) has also been exceptionally busy in rehearsals and onstage as a dancer in Addams Family musical, as well as an upcoming version of Grease. We are thrilled to see such participation in live performances!
