Jesuit education has at its core the principle of cura personalis – care for each person so that they may flourish academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Here in St. Aloysius’ College Junior School, every member of staff plays a key role in getting to know every child as an individual. In doing so, we are able to support, encourage and challenge our children in their journey of growing up in today’s society.
Teaching staff work closely with Heads and Assistant Heads of Section to meet the needs of each and every child, equipping them with, not only the academic ability to flourish, but also the social and emotional support to aid their development. Each child is known and loved as an individual and valued for the person he or she has grown to be.
This pastoral care programme ensures that children are supported by, and feel comfortable with, staff who listen with care and with whom they can share their joys, cares, and concerns.
In partnership with parents, we help children with personal growth and interpersonal relationships, building a trusting, caring community for our boys and girls in the Junior School.
