Serving the Community

Throughout the school year, many of our pupils take part in various charity events that help raise funds and awareness for important causes. On Friday, we had a Celebrating Success assembly dedicated to all of the pupils who have been involved in charity work throughout the last year, with the hopes to inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

We had some pupil speakers talk about the various events that took place throughout the year – including some guest speakers such as Santa who told us about the Santa Dash, and Mario and Luigi who spoke about our charity gaming tournament hosted last year.

Charity work is not just about giving money, it’s also about offering time. Paul H. (S3) spoke about how he has been volunteering in a local Barnardo’s charity shop.

We have a whole year of charity events planned, and look forward to working together as a whole College community. As the High School Musical song goes, We’re All in This Together – the anthem played at the end of the assembly to remind us of this.
