STEM Club Makes the News
On Monday 20th November a group of 24 STEM pupils from the Junior School made the news…. literally!
They visited the SKY Academy Studios in Livingston to learn how news stories are put together. They learned that the reporter onscreen is just one member of a vast team responsible for putting programs on our screens at home.
Each child worked in a sub group and had their own role in the team – from director to camera operator (it was a brave decision to let the children loose on over £60000 worth of recording equipment).
The end result was a special broadcast explaining NASA’s vision of a mission to Mars in the year 2020.
