Three former pupils took to the field for Scotland’s U20 rugby team in their match against Italy in the Under 20 Six Nations Championship. Representing their country at such a high level is a tremendous achievement, and we could not be prouder of their hard work and dedication.
Johnny Ventisei, Oliver McKenna, and Matthew Urwin all played a crucial role in Scotland’s spirited performance, showcasing the skills and determination that were nurtured during their time at the College. The team fought hard against a strong Italian side, with the match ending Scotland 10-22 Italy.
Despite the result, our Aloysian representatives made a fantastic impact, demonstrating their talent, leadership, and resilience on the international stage. Their selection is a testament to their commitment and the strength of rugby at St Aloysius’ College.
Rugby has always been a key part of College life, and we hope their success inspires the next generation of Aloysian players. The entire school community is behind them as they continue their rugby journeys, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for these talented young athletes.
Congratulations to Johnny, Ollie, and Matthew — we are immensely proud of you!
