Alex Gardiner visits Junior School

Last week, Alex Gardiner visited the college to introduce us to his new book- Mossbelly MacFearsome and the Dwarves of Doom.

"We love having authors come in to help us understand what goes into writing a book and how we can create thrilling characters ourselves. In school clubs and classes, so many of our P4 & P5’s have been writing their own stories and imagining the next bestseller." - Miss Lapping, Librarian

The author visit was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to ask Alex some questions and workshop some of their own fantasy creations. Our pupils were treated to a reading from Alex’s new book and were given the advice that in order to become a great writer, they must first become great readers
