Aloysian Association Presents Donations

Aloysian Association Presents Donations

Mr. and Mrs. Church and The Aloysian Association representative Suzanne MacPherson present Mr. Doyle with cheques.

We are delighted to have received generous donations from The Aloysian Association that will go towards our Children’s Fund, Lourdes Pilgrimage, and our Bursary Scheme.

Funds were raised at the annual Ladies Lunch in memory of the late Rachael Church (OA 2010). Rachael was the Chairperson of The Children’s Fund Committee when she was at the school, and was a shining example of being a woman for others. Rachael’s parents, Danny and Margaret Church, presented the cheque to Mr. Doyle – the funds going towards vital schemes within the College that help support many young people.

Our Children’s Fund Holiday and Lourdes Pilgrimage give children and young people with additional support needs the opportunity to spend time in a new environment to make new friends and memories, as well as offering families some respite. These donations mean that we can continue to support the initiatives that Rachael was so passionate about during her time at school, and we hope that more young people will be inspired by her dedication and continue her good work.

Along with this, The Aloysian Association presented donations to Jesuit Missions, local charity Stater Packs, and Mary’s Meals – each of which provide support to communities that otherwise would have none.
