College Chemists Top SCIS School in Regional Contest
A team of talented chemistry pupils from St Aloysius’ College put up a strong defence of their title in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s West of Scotland Top of the Bench Competition.
The College's Top of the Bench team were runners up to Paisley Grammar School in the event, which took place at the University of Strathclyde last month.
The Senior School students came second from 21 teams and the team - Benedict Maclennan Patton (S4), Jaxon McMenemy (S3), Tegan MacDonald (S3) and Eva Pryce (S2) - and were the top performing SCIS school.
The annual Top of the Bench Chemistry Competition is organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry to help schools enthuse, excite and inspire the next generation of talented chemical scientists.
