P7 Try Their Hand at Teaching

This week in P7, our pupils were set a task of not only completing a presentation about the solar system - but also teaching a lesson to their fellow classmates.

In groups, each took turns delivering a lesson to the rest of the class - sharing what they had learned about their chosen planet and trying to share that with others. Pupils had to pay close attention, as lessons were followed by a quiz and usually a worksheet that needed to be handed back in.

For P7 this was a great way to learn how to present in front of others, and increase confidence. This was also a great career taster for those who want to go on to become teachers themselves. 

Mr. McClintock was very impressed with the class and all the effort they had put into their research and lessons.
