Charitable works form an important part of the life and mission of St Aloysius' College and this type of activity brings home to the children in a very practical way that we are here in the service of others. This year marked the beginning of our association with PEEK (Possibilities for Each and Every Kid) as it became the Outreach Charity for Ogilvie House in our Junior school.
PEEK is a local charity that strives to improve the livelihoods of children, young people, and families. PEEK champions the rights for all and particularly the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child, something our Aloysian pupils frequently talk about in school. PEEK continuously reflects on their daily practice and policies and strives to improve to ensure equality, diversity, and inclusivity is at the heart of their planning, delivery and evaluation. They ensure all are treated with dignity and respect and we are very honoured to be able to support them in this mission.
This week we had a special visit from PEEK volunteers Mollie and Marco. Our Junior School families have been donating various essential items in support of their appeal to provide for families and young people in need. We are looking forward to continuing our work with PEEK and we hope we are able to contribute to the amazing support they offer.
