What to Expect from Open Evening 2022
Open Evening is one of the highlights of our school year. It’s the time when our pupils, staff and campus get to shine and showcase what being an Aloysian is all about. Over our Kindergarten, Junior, and Senior schools, we warmly invite all to experience our community firsthand.
What can you expect from Open Evening?
We will begin Open Evening with a welcome from our Head Teacher Mrs. Isabelle Erskine, along with some Senior Staff from the College. This short introduction will help put a face to the name of those who you, as a parent, will be speaking to at the College. Afterwards, it’s time for the tour! You will be taken around our state-of-the-art campus by our Senior School pupil tour guides. Our young people have very kindly offered their time to assist with our Open Evening, a testament to how much the College means to them. You will be given the chance to visit all of our departments and classes, with the opportunity to speak to teachers and students of different year groups/subjects.
Kindergarten:

Kindergarten is where our youngest Aloysians are prepared for their first day in Primary 1, where they will don the iconic Green Blazer for the first time. Our Kindergarten is supervised by a Teacher Manager, who teaches the children each day as they would be in a classroom. Kindergarteners also get lots of opportunities to explore the outside world, with trips both local and further afield to exciting places. As well as this, specialist teachers also provide daily lessons in Art, Science, PE, Modern Languages and Music. This allows all of our pupils to get a firm grasp on the learning that is to come as they move throughout the College, preparing them for a structured curriculum.
Junior School:

Junior School is the start of your child’s Green Blazer story. Children are free to learn, play, and discover in our vibrant and welcoming Junior School building, which houses our Primary 1 – 6 classes. Our dedicated Junior School building not only houses colourful classrooms for the children to enjoy, but it is also a very special place where friendships are made, personalities are nurtured, and new passions are discovered.
To ease with their transition over to Senior School, our Primary 7 classes are housed in our main building, where the children are introduced to the Senior School curriculum and prepared for the next part of their Green Blazer story.
Just like in Kindergarten, all of our Primary pupils also receive frequent specialist subject lessons, with lots of children often citing these are the highlights of their week.
Senior School:

Senior School is where we prepare our young people for their life beyond school, whether that be going on to further education or employment. Whatever path our pupils follow we always strive to support and guide them on their journey, even after they have left the College, by keeping them connected via our alumni network. We offer a varied curriculum that keeps our pupils curious and makes sure they always strive for the very best. In Senior School, pupils are also part of charitable initiatives such as Arrupe and Caritas, in which opportunities are presented to give back to the community.
