Governor Appointments

Governor recruitment and appointment

At St Aloysius’ College, the strength of our governance is rooted in the quality, integrity and commitment of those who serve as Governors. Individuals who bring a breadth of professional expertise, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to the College’s mission and Jesuit ethos. Recruitment is undertaken with care to ensure a balanced and diverse Board, with the skills and experience required to provide strategic oversight, support leadership and safeguard the long term future of the College. From time to time, we invite expressions of interest from those who feel called to contribute their time and talents in service of our community.

Appointments are made through a considered and transparent process, led by the Chair of Governors and the Principal, and aligned with best practice in governance. Prospective Governors are invited to engage in a series of discussions to explore their suitability, values and understanding of the role, followed by formal approval from the Board. All appointments are subject to appropriate safeguarding and eligibility checks. Governors are expected to uphold the College’s values, contribute actively to Board discussions and support the College in fulfilling its mission to form young people of competence, conscience and compassion.

St Aloysius' College is currently seeking to appoint new Governors to join its Board and support the next phase of the College’s development. You can find out more information here.
