Teacher Running 100 Miles for Jesuit Missions

Teacher Running 100 Miles for Jesuit Missions

We are continuing our appeal for funds for Jesuit Missions - helping them to continue the work of the Jesuit Refugee Service in the Asia Pacific Region. Our very own Mrs. Ariana Findlay has pledged to run 100 miles in May in order to help us meet our fundraising target and support the great work carried out by Jesuit Missions. Already off to a flying start, Mrs. Findlay has been working hard and already has twenty miles in the bag. Help her with her next 80 by donating to her JustGivng page here.

The humanitarian situation in Myanmar continues to deteriorate. Since the military coup in 2021, the total number of internally displaced persons has risen to more than 1.9 million. Many have fled over the border into neighbouring Thailand. The ensuing violence and military activity have been responsible for further forced displacement. There is an urgent need for humanitarian assistance. Your help is needed!

A new vehicle is essential for JRS to continue its work. Transport is required for delivery of materials, including building and school supplies, supplementary food, and other forms of assistance. Journeys to reach remote areas can take hours through in inhospitable terrain. Four-wheel-drive vehicles are essential for such conditions.

Please give generously. Your donations to Jesuit Missions help to support the work of our JRS partners in the Asia Pacific Region.
