St Aloysius' College Celebrate High Schools' Mass
Faith and Values
To mark the centenary of the 1918 Education Scotland Act, St Aloysius' College pupils were invited to the Archdiocese of Glasgow High Schools’ Mass in St Andrew’s Cathedral on Monday 26th November.
The College was represented by a number of College Captains, including our Captains of Christian Formation, Head Boy (Dominic McCarron), and Head Girl (Costanza Cascio).
This year, for the very first time, the College was also asked to provide the music for the evening, and our Schola Cantorum performed beautifully to a full house that included Archbishop Tartaglia.
Head of Christian Formation, Mr McBride, commented: "I felt very privileged to be part of St Aloysius’ community supporting the High Schools’ Mass at the Cathedral. The opening piece from Schola was inspiring and uplifting. I was delighted to see the College banner being proudly processed by Costanza and Dominic and enjoyed the company of the College Captains who turned out in number to show their support of this diocesan event."
All pupils were a credit to the College and we are extremely proud of them. They epitomised what it means when we say "Great Things Happen in the Green Blazer".
