OA Captain Commemorates Remembrance Day

OA Captain Seumas A.J. Sixty-five Aloysians gave their lives in World War I. One hundred and seven gave their lives in World War II.

Captain O’Duffin attended and laid a red poppy wreath for the Aloysian dead of the two World Wars. Senior School Head Boy Christopher M. (S6) and Head Girl Niamh K. (S6) laid an evergreen wreath for parents, pupils, friends, former pupils and parishioners who have died since the College’s foundation in 1859. The Lists of the War Dead and the November Lists were brought forward by Junior School Head Boy Matteo G. (P7) and Head Girl Gabriella N. (P7).

A large congregation of College Parents, families and friends joined around fifty Sixth Year pupils who came to show their respects.
