Manresa Oratory Consecration

Yesterday in a very special Mass celebrated by Fr Gerard Mitchell SJ, our newly refurbished Manresa Oratory was Consecrated and opened to our College community.

We are very thankful for this special space in our Junior School; our pupils can’t wait to use it as a place to be close to God and spend some time in prayer, especially during Advent in preparation for Christmas.

Work on the re-opening of the Manresa Oratory began way back in June - when we were delighted that Archbishop Nolan gave our Junior School permission to reserve the Blessed Sacrament, something that brought our young people much joy knowing that they have a holy space close by when they come to school.

A thank you goes to Mrs. Hegarty for everything that went towards making this oratory happen - and to her brother for his help and wonderful work.
