Primary 6 Study Sustainable Fashion

As part of P6 studies into sustainability, we have been looking at the clothing/fashion industry. The children have met with Alessia who runs her own sustainable clothing business - ZENZERO Clothing. She discussed the issues caused by fast fashion and other non-sustainable practices. We also invited P6 parent Mrs McCann – who runs Susanne Christyne Bridal - to lead a fantastic hands-on workshop focusing on altering and reusing clothing – specifically wedding dresses. The children learned about making clothes that last, designing clothes and finally making their own designs a reality using recycled paper.

We are now hoping to take what we have learned and make positive changes as we participate in the #energisingfutures #fashionfixers competition.
