OAs Go for Gold!
Three OAs (2014) have successfully achieved a gold Duke of Edinburgh award. After completing each element to obtain the award, the three attended a ceremony at St James’ palace to receive their badges.
Michael Perrera, Lucy Rogers and Niamh Barrie successfully completed a challenging canoeing expedition, as well as regular community volunteer work, extra-curricular skills and activities, and a five day residential activity to achieve their gold badges. The three were presented with the award by The Duke of Edinburgh at a ceremony in October. He was particularly curious about the canoeing expedition, which took place in Sweden, and the training they had to complete.
Congratulations to the three OAs for their wonderful achievement.
