Art & Design

Our Art & Design department provides a dynamic, creative environment where young people are encouraged to explore, experiment, and develop their artistic voice with confidence. Through working with a rich variety of materials, techniques, and digital technologies, learners build strong skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and reflective practice.

Students are guided to use visual language with purpose and imagination, developing original ideas in both 2D and 3D forms. They are challenged to think creatively and independently, while deepening their understanding of how meaning is communicated through art and design.

A key focus is developing the ability to analyse and evaluate the work of artists and designers, understanding the cultural, historical, and contemporary influences that shape creative practice.
